The UK insurance group appoints new D&O head
Barbican has today announced the appointment of a new directors’ & officers’ (D&O) underwriting manager, with immediate effect.
This announcement comes days after the release of a Marsh report highlighting its four-fold increase in D&O liability insurance claim notifications.
Hans Sherman today stepped into the role, after previous positions at CV Starr and AIG (London). He will report to Barbican underwriting manager, financial and professional lines, Andrew Pearson.
Pearson said Sherman had “achieved considerable success in the D&O arena”, and added: “I look forward to working closely with him as we look to expand our position in this highly competitive market sector.”
