The new hire will replace Ian Fantozzi
London market insurer Beazley has appointed former HSBC staffer Troy Dehmann as its new chief operating officer, effective immediately.
Dehmann succeeds the insurer’s former chief operating officer Ian Fantozzi, who has switched to lead Beazley’s recently established digital business unit.
Dehmann, who will be based in London, has more than 20 years of leadership experience across finance, operations and business transformation within the financial services sector.
Prior to joining Beazley, Dehmann was global chief operating officer for finance operations and core finance at banking organisation HSBC.
He also spent seven years working for HSBC in London, where he undertook roles such as global chief operating officer of business finance and global head of cost management.
Dehmann started his career at data and analytics firm Dun and Bradstreet Corporation. He has also worked at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan Chase in New York.
Speaking on the new appointment, Adrian Cox, chief executive of Beazley, said: “Troy’s deep experience in building operational excellence and driving transformation within the finance sector will be invaluable as we continue to build an agile and flexible platform upon which to bring our specialist products to new markets and ensure our people have the systems to support them wherever they are in the world.”
Dehmann added: “I am thrilled to join Beazley at this time as we continue to scale and strengthen our operational capability. I look forward to working with our teams to ensure they are supported and well-resourced to deliver excellent products and services in this flexible, hybrid world of work.”
Dehmann will also join Beazley’s executive committee.
