RSA boss Hester has shares that could be worth millions if the deal goes through
RSA boss Stephen Hester is lined up for a £16m cash windfall if the insurer sells up.
RSA is the subject of a £7.2bn bid from insurers Tryg and Intact who want to carve up the business based on geography.
Chief executive Hester could scoop £15.8m from shares he owns outright. He has already been paid £22.2m since taking over the firm in 2014, according to thisismoney.co.uk.
His salary is £4.1m a year.
The deal is at big premium to the current share price, and has been described as ‘more than fair value’.
