Technology business Charles Taylor has appointed former AXA XL staffer John Pickersgill as its new group chief commercial officer, effective from 28 June 2021.
In his new role, Pickersgill will be responsible for leading the firm’s commercial activity globally, including client engagement, business development and marketing.
Pickersgill will also be a member of Charles Taylor’s executive committee.

This is the company’s second hire from AXA this month.
Driving growth
Previously, Pickersgill worked as head of global client management at AXA XL and chief commercial officer for AXA Corporate Solutions.
Pickersgill has more than 25 years of experience in senior and international roles, leading global sales, distribution and marketing functions, commercial underwriting, claims and client service teams.
