Three new senior appointments announced for the line of business
Cooper Gay announced today the appointment of Simon Hirst-Marsden as head of energy technical upstream and Tony Rastall as divisional director of energy, specialising in onshore construction risks. Both will report to Richard Haines, who has been appointed as managing director of the energy division.

Rastall brings nearly four decades of onshore construction and engineering insurance experience to Cooper Gay. He joins from Arthur J Gallagher where he served as a Partner responsible for client development and retention, focusing on the US and Middle East markets. Prior to this Tony spent 19 years at JLT, most recently as a Partner.
Cooper Gay chief executive Steve Hearn said: “I am very pleased to announce a series of appointments which will enhance our senior team. Richard has been instrumental in the success of our market leading energy offering and I am very pleased to announce his appointment as Managing Director of the combined upstream and downstream energy division.
