Endurance welcomes new appointment

Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. announced this week that Christopher Sparro will join the company on 12 September as executive vice president and chief executive of US Insurance.

Sparro, who joins from AIG, where he started working in 1990, will be responsible for continuing to build the Bermuda-based company’s US product portfolio and will report to Endurance chief executive of global insurance Jack Kuhn.

Kuhn said: “Chris has demonstrated his ability to build a profitable and diverse business at AIG, spanning a range of property, casualty and specialty product offerings and serving clients from small businesses to multi-nationals through a range of distribution channels. He will be a valued addition to our insurance leadership team and a great fit with Endurance’s underwriting culture as we continue to build on the successful results achieved by our U.S. franchise over the last few years.”
