Credit rating agency maintains that the reinsurer’s ability to handle large claims warranted an upgrade
Flood Re’s credit rating has been upgraded by rating agency Standard and Poor’s (S&P).
The credit rating agency cited Flood Re’s capability of managing claims during November 2019, when there was heavy flooding events, as well as February 2020, which the reinsurer said was the worst month for flooding since it was founded in April 2016.
