Acrisure Re promotes Deane to lead ARCAS US

Acrisure Re has promoted Tom Deane (pictured) to managing director, head of Acrisure Re Corporate Advisory & Solutions (ARCAS US).

Deane will lead and serve as the supervisory principal of ARCAS US, continuing to report to Ben Canagaretna, global managing director, ARCAS.

The re/insurance firm emphasised his role across ARCAS’s four pillars – strategic advisory, insurance-linked strategies, retrospective transactions, and corporate finance.

Deane joined Acrisure Re in August 2023 as head of banking and brings nearly 20 years of experience in the re/insurance industry, primarily in capital markets and advisory.

Before joining, he was a partner at Stonybrook Capital, focusing on investment banking opportunities in the lower-middle-market insurance sector.

He previously held roles at JLT and Benfield Advisory, later acquired by Aon, specialising in capital raises and M&A transactions.

Additionally, Devin Inskeep has been promoted to senior vice president, head of ratings and strategic advisory.

In his expanded role, he will oversee client services and is focused on developing ratings strategies aligned with clients’ financial and capital objectives.

He will also consult on strategic initiatives, helping clients implement best practices to drive long-term success.

Inskeep joined in October 2022 and was previously director, Capital Advisory at Aon. He previously held roles at Accenture, AM Best, Standard & Poor’s and Willis Re.
