Aon’s new top broker for UK commercial business previously worked in senior roles at Aviva, Marsh and Ardonagh.
Aon has named Graeme MacMillan as its chief broking officer (CBO) for commercial risk solutions in the UK.
MacMillan brings more than 20 years of broking and leadership experience, built through senior market roles at Aviva, Marsh and Ardonagh Group.
Subject to regulatory approval, MacMillan will be responsible for the UK commercial risk broking strategy and will help strengthen insurer relationships to develop differentiated propositions and products for clients, Aon said.
He will have joint reporting lines to Jane Kielty, head of commercial risk solutions in the UK, and James Baum, head of wholesale and specialty broking.
Aon said this is aimed at ensuring its UK broking strategy works in tandem with Aon’s Global Broking Centre (GBC).
“Graeme has a phenomenal track record of leading the creation and execution of innovative and differentiated broking strategies that are bold and ambitious for the benefit of clients,” said Jane Kielty, head of commercial risk solutions in the UK.
“It’s great news that both Aon and our clients will soon be benefitting from his experience and skills to help navigate emerging forms of volatility.
“This new role demonstrates our commitment to investing in talent that meets the evolving needs of our clients through strategies that build on creativity as we help shape better decisions. Both James and I are looking forward to working with Graeme as he does so in his new role,” she added.
