Marilena Rodriguez Forero joins from Axa where she served as P&C underwriting director for Mexico.
Managing general agent (MGA) group Dual has appointed Marilena Rodriguez Forero as its regional CEO for Latin America, effective 1 August 2024.
Rodriguez Forero (pictured) will become a member of Dual’s group executive committee.
She will report to Richard Clapham, CEO of Dual Group, which is the MGA arm of broking group Howden.
The MGA has been present in the region since 2021. The appointment represents a newly established region within Dual’s business,
Rodriguez Forero, who is based in Mexico, has over 30 years’ industry experience.
She joins from Axa where she served as the insurer’s property and casualty underwriting director in Mexico.
Prior to this, she worked at XL Catlin as head of facultative reinsurance business for Latam.
Dual has underwriting teams based in Mexico, the largest reinsurance market in Latin America, and Brazil, the region’s largest economy and insurance market.
Francisco Vogt Marques leads the team in Brazil, and Dock Re, based in Mexico, is led by Gabriel Buzo.
