The reinsurance broker’s new regional head of capital advisory was previously led Swiss Re’s P&C business management for Asia Pacific.
Guy Carpenter, the reinsurance broking arm of Marsh McLennan, has announced the appointment of Blake Dimitrijevic as its head of capital advisory for Asia Pacific.
Effective immediately, Dimitrijevic is based in Hong Kong and reports to Tony Gallagher, CEO of Guy Carpenter Asia Pacific.
Prior to joining Guy Carpenter, Dimitrijevic was head of property and casualty business management for Asia Pacific at Swiss Re.
Gallagher said: “We are delighted to have Blake on board.
“Blake’s diverse industry experience will significantly strengthen our value proposition and capabilities to support clients with industry-leading and bespoke capital advisory solutions across Asia Pacific.”
During 17-years at Swiss Re, Dimitrijevic worked in senior leadership roles in Asia and London across non-life, life and health, structured solutions, and group treasury functions.
He will lead Guy Carpenter’s Asia Pacific capital advisory team, which it said supports clients with complex capital, funding and advisory needs across the region.
These, Guy Carpenter said, include “regulatory and rating agency, asset and liability management, portfolio optimisation, and reinsurance to support M&A, as well as solutions to help improve clients’ capital fungibility and return on equity”.
