MS Reinsurance expands senior leadership team

MS Reinsurance has appointed four senior leaders who will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Benedikt Schmid joined as chief information and data officer on 1 February 2023 and reports to chief executive Robert Wiest. He was previously chief information officer at Axis Re.

Susanne Gnädinger joined as chief transformation officer on 1 November 2022 and also reports to Robert Wiest. She is spearheading the recently-rebranded business’ modernisation journey and joined from Partner Re where she spent 17 years developing deep expertise in business processes, systems design, and integrating new technologies for reinsurance.

Marcus Pollak joined in the newly created role of head of Underwriting Operations on 1 February 2023 and reports to Grégoire Mauchamp, chief technical underwriting officer. He also joins from Axis Re where he led the Global Underwriting Support team. 

On 1 March 2023, Stefan Behr will join MS Reinsurance as head of EMEA Group Clients, International Casualty and Engineering and report to Jörg Bruniecki, chief underwriting officer EMEA. He joins from Swiss Re where, most recently, he was the head of Business Development EMEA.
