Mapfre Re opens Singapore office in Asia push

Mapfre Re has expanded its Asia operation by opening an office in Singapore.

The Singapore branch will be open for business in September, and joins Mapfre Re’s other Asia offices in Labuan, Manila and Beijing.

Mapfre Re director Andrés Lorenzana will oversee the Singapore branch in addition to the Labuan office.

Mapfre Re chief executive Pedro de Macedo said: ”Our desire to be a global reinsurer close to its clients and the volume of business that the Asia Pacific region already entails for us more than justify these new openings.”
