Marketform hires QBE’s Marriott as cargo underwriter

Marketform has hired Alistair Marriott as joint deputy head of marine and class underwriter cargo.

Marriott joins from QBE, where he was cargo portfolio manager.

He will join Marketform’s existing marine team of marine director Stephen Barr and joint deputy head of marine and class underwriter hull and war Angus Wilson.

Marketform Managing Agency chief executive John O’Neill said: “The arrival of Alistair adds significant leadership in the cargo class to our marine offering and we are delighted to have him as part of our team.”

Barr said: “The addition of Alistair to write cargo opens up the opportunity to underwrite stock throughput as well as conventional cargo on a world-wide basis.”
