Marsh Commercial today announced that it has secured an agreement to provide risk and insurance solutions to Britishvolt, a manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries for energy storage and electric vehicles, for its gigaplant. Set to be the first of its kind in the UK, the facility is on track to be completed by 2023 and will have an annual battery production capacity of up to 30GWh.
Marsh has a dedicated team of specialists with extensive knowledge of the risks, present and future, confronting both the automotive and renewable energy industries, and how to manage these effectively in an evolving insurance market. The team at Marsh will provide Britshvolt with solutions across multiple lines of placement and technical risk management to address the unique complexities a gigawatt factory possesses.
