XL Catlin promotes Tim Powell into top IFL role

XL Catlin has promoted Tim Powell to chief underwriting officer for its insurance division’s international financial lines (IFL), effective 1 March.

Powell, who is currently IFL product group leader for Asia-Pacific, will be responsible for the underwriting performance of XL Catlin’s Financial Lines portfolio in all geographies outside North America.

Powell will be based in London from May 1 and report to Jason Harris, Chief Executive, International - Insurance.

Harris said: “I’m confident that Tim’s technical expertise, strategic perspective and inclusive leadership style will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our position as a leading IFL market.”
