XL Catlin announces new head of specialty reinsurance

XL Catlin reinsurance announced this week the appointment of Christophe Chandler as head of specialty reinsurance. 

Chandler, who has over 20 years’ experience in the (re)insurance industry and joined Catlin in 2002, will be relocating from Bermuda, where he held the position of chief underwriting officer, to take up this new role. 

XL Catlin’s London reinsurance chief executive Jonathan Gale said: “Christophe, formerly XL Catlin’s Underwriting Director for Reinsurance in Bermuda, has an excellent reputation and proven track record in the Lloyd’s, Bermuda and continental European marketplaces. I worked with Christophe directly in Bermuda and am very pleased that he has agreed to lead our Specialty team in London and develop this important business for XL Catlin.”
